Too bad I can’t access facebook on the class, so no demo there. It’s hard to explain these kind of stuff with out watching it on action I’ve included some links on the case studies if you want to try the application or for further reading.

The presentation started by explaining the current condition of facebook application. This is the agenda:

From my perspective there are 4 ways to make a facebook application. It doesn’t always have to be from the tough way of start from scratch like what Burger King did with the Whopper Sacrifice.

Note that sometimes the facebook application doesn’t stand alone. A facebook page or a web links maybe required depends on what the application objectives.

Last Saturday, I was invited to an event by AstraWorld to share some insight on how to use facebook for business. It was their soft launching of the AstraWorld community.

Since the event was held at blitzmegaplex, Grand Indonesia, a movie theater, the event was continued with watching Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Yay!

The first was at a seminar, “The World of Publishing: Good script is not enough!”. It was a seminar to introduce the term writerpreneur and a series of writing workshop by Elex Media Komputindo and BINUS UNIVERSITY. So first, Mr. Aluisius Arisubagjo (Vice Director PT Elex Media Komputindo) and Whindy Yoevestian (my editor) was explaining about the publishing world from the publisher perspective and the workshop. Then what was amazing was I got to be on the same stage as Safir Senduk as speakers. Yes, we were both sharing our experiences as a writer. Here are some pictures from the seminar.

The second was at a workshop, “Mempercepat Langkah Karir Penulis Produktif”, sponsored by Elex Media Komputindo and Indosiar. I was surprised that this time the audiences were already amateur writers. It was already at the end of the session, so I have to make an extra effort to spark the audience. Well, I used some tricks I picked up when watching Safir Senduk’s presentation before.
